Dr. William Cormick, a physician of Irish descent, treated the Báb in prison in 1848. Dr. Cormick, whose father came from Co. Kilkenny, wrote an account of his meeting with the Báb. This is the only known account to be written by a Western about a meeting with the Báb.
So how did Dr. Cormick come to visit this prisoner? And what did he have to say about the Báb?
