Kilkenny mayor Cllr Michael Doyle joined with members of the local Bahá’í community this week to honour of the Bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh by planting a commemorative tree in his town.
The Irish Oak sapling found its new home in the beautiful surroundings of Kilkenny Castle Park adjacent to Kilkenny Castle. Famed for their beauty, Irish oak trees can live for up to 1000 years and grow as high as 40 metres.
